We are looking for a junior designer to help pick up the slack in our busy agency. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience and be passionate about innovative design! We are looking for a designer that has experience working in both print and web. Programming knowledge not required but a familiarity with HTML, CSS, etc would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Using aesthetic and strategic judgment coupled with project management skills to develop creative ideas and concepts
• Design brochures, annual reports, posters, newsletters, packaging, advertising, web interface design, PowerPoint designs, templates, etc.
• Consult with internal staff members to develop creative solutions in an appropriate media and style
• Provide creative and functional design solutions
• Maintain brand awareness and consistency
• Manage designated projects from start to completion

Qualifications:

• Post secondary degree/​diploma in graphic design, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Graphic Design
• Demonstrated understanding of design elements including color, type and composition
• Experience in print and web design
• Advanced skill with Adobe Creative Suite in a MAC environment, MS Office Suite; Flash and multimedia design experience would be an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with initiative and to complete assigned work within tight deadlines
• Ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organization
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
